Today IMC welcomed students from Klaipėda University's Complementary and Alternative Healthcare - Aromatherapy program.
The visit was a continuation of their week dedicated to exploring the history and nuances of aromatherapy from various perspectives.
During their time at IMC, our guests had the opportunity to learn about the interdisciplinary aromatherapy research conducted by Greta Kasputė , Junior Researcher at the Personalized Medicine Department.
Greta presented her scientific journey – from chemical analysis of essential oils during her early academic years, to studies on the effects of St. John's wort essential oils on stem cells, and most recently, the development of electrochemical sensors for detecting essential oil components.
When traditional knowledge meets modern scientific paradigm, the most fascinating research is born!
Thank you, Greta, for the inspiring presentation!
